Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my commonplace book! This blog is a compilation of useful information for current and future Industrial Arts teachers. In Industrial Arts knowing the meaning of terms is very important to learn, because the terms used in my glossary are industry standard terms that will need to be known when the students enter the work force. The illustrations that I have added are also important because it gives students a visual reference point as to what products they are producing should look like and how to properly be safe in the shop. Answering the question of what guided me to post the things I did in this book is easy. I've spent a good amount of time in shops over the course of my life and I know what things work and what do not. I also have learned how to teach literacy in my subject area through lectures and text readings, so I have added some of the important theories and techniques that I have learned over the course of my time in ECUR 320. This common place book is still a work in progress. I plan on adding to it throughout my career as a teacher. I hope you all enjoy it! Constructive feedback is always appreciated.
Enjoy,
Mark Tollefson
